About My Artwork

I start with a feeling and let the painting reveal itself.

I have always been pulled toward the wild, the free, the true – the sensation you get with the wind in your hair on an untrodden path. I open myself to my childlike curiosity and aim to intentionally create unintentionally. Dance is how I feel alive and how my canvas comes alive. I hone in on a feeling – using a thought, poem, quote, or lyric coupled with song – and freely pour my heart onto each canvas without control, expectation, or an end in sight. I love to feel the paint on my hands, the motion of the brush, and to let go in the moment....

I cry tears. I laugh. I let the paintbrush talk. It feels as though I’m channeling something greater than myself. The emotions are too big. Sometimes it has to do with an emotion, but many times I simply feel overwhelmed by the beauty of life and am filled with gratitude. In the end, each piece reveals itself and a story. My hope is to inspire joy (Χαρά in Greek) through the uplifting movement and colors in my art.

“My line is childlike but not childish. It is very difficult to fake.. to get that quality you need to project yourself into the child’s line. It has to be felt.”
